Yosemite National Park, it’s a World Heritage area and American icon. It’s also a hot spot for tourists of all types, from RV-travelers to energetic hikers, for photographers of all abilities and aspirations. In summer the waterfalls are small trickles, the grass in the valley long. The sunlight is warm and golden, setting off the stunning blue hue of the famous granite walls.

High on a hill, far from the valley, a landscape of boulders and big old trees is bathed in the golden light of the end of the day; Off the beaten track, where nobody hikes, the ground is covered with dead twigs and pine cones which have lain there so long that they crunch underfoot in brittle dryness.
